臺灣地區數位電視與數位廣播電場之場測

摘要


本篇論文旨在探討台灣目前正在播送的數位電視與數位廣播的實際現場量測結果。論文主要著眼於量測台灣大都會地區現有歐規Euraka-147數位廣播系統、美規ATSC和歐規DVB-T數位電視地面廣播系統。 DAB, DVB-T,和ATSC在世界的數位電視與數位廣播扮演著主要的角色。推動數位化多媒體將可帶動我國的經濟發展。台灣在2001年推動數位電視時並未確定採用何種傳輸系統,在數位廣播方面、也並未完全確定採行歐規。本論文針對DVB-T 和ATSC進行各種量測,並於2002年時經電信總局(DGT)同意,採用DVB-T作為我國數位電視傳輸標準。 在本篇論文中,我們記錄一些量測方法和量測結果。總共測量237個數位電視點和200多點的數位廣播。結果發現,臺灣多山地形有時會影響發射,然而DAB, DVB-T兩大系統皆採用OFDM 優越的抗多路徑干擾特性,可以大量減少多路徑干擾,信號接收能力也可經由gap fillers提昇接收能力。

In this thesis, we report the field tests of digital television and broadcast systems in Taiwan. The tests include the Euraka-147 for digital broadcast system and the DVB-T and ATSC systems for digital television system. The evaluations were carried out in most metropolises in Taiwan. DAB, DVB-T, and ATSC play important roles in a digital world. The promotion of digital media would definitely bring new hopes for our economy. On the television side there were some doubts before 2001 on which system we should take. On the broadcast side, it seems to have little doubt to take the European’s standard. Based on various tests between DVB-T and ATSC, include one reported in this thesis, the telecommunication authority (DGT) agreed on 2002 to adopt the DVB-T transmission standard. In this thesis, we record some of the test methods and test results. In TV-inside, a total of 237 test points were measured. In DAB side, 200 test points were measured. We found that Taiwan’s special mountainous terrains may some times block the digital transmissions. However, the OFDM technology offered by both systems can largely reduce the multi-path interferences. Signal receiving qualities can further be improved by adopting more gap fillers.
