調製奈米碳管漿料應用於場發射顯示器陰極之研究

摘要


因為奈米碳管具有極小的尖端曲率半徑,極小尺寸,中空狀,高化學穩定度以及高機械強度,可提供多元化的應用,例如場發射源、儲氫的載具、室溫時的電晶體…等。特別是高的管徑長度比與高化學穩定度,使其成為較具前瞻的場發射源。所以奈米碳管有著極佳的場發射特性,在較低電壓下所產生的電場可引發出大的電流密度,使其成為場發射顯示器陰極發射源的最佳材料。 在本研究中,調製3種不同的漿料的成分,搭配3種分散的儀器,來達到均勻分散的目的。經由網版印刷的厚膜技術,2段式的燒結條件,來製備奈米碳管的場發射電子源,探討其分散的均勻性與場發射特性間之影響。 另外先將奈米碳管,經不同時間球磨處理後,利用拉曼光譜與X光繞射去鑑定其結構是否改變,再以前述製程去調配漿料,比較球磨處理後是否較利於分散,以及探討其場發射特性。 結果發現,以自調漿料(No.3配方)分散效果最好,而使用杜邦銀膠(No.1)場發射特性穩定,約為6 V/μm。經球磨後,可大略看出分散較佳之漿料,起始場發射電場有往低的趨勢。

CNTs with extremely small radii of curvature, extremely small diameter, hollowness, high chemical stability and high mechanical strength have provided a vast range of applications of CNTs such as electron field emitters, room-temperature transistors, vehicles for hydrogen storage, etc. In particular, the high aspect ratio and high chemical stability of CNTs have enabled them to be used as promising electron emitters. It is known that CNTs have extremely good property of field emission, the field of low voltage can attract bigger current, which becomes the best materials of cathode emitter in FED. In this study, we have three different formula to prepare the pastes by three different mixers for increasing the dispersing property. After screen-printing and sintering, the field emitters of CNTs will examine to consider the effect of dispersability on field emission property. The pretreated CNTs in different ball milling times are also considered in this study. Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction are used to observe the change of CNTs in different milling times. Mixing in the same process, we can compare treated and untreated CNTs which has better dispersion and field emission property. The results indicate No.3 formula has the best dispersability. And No.1 formula has the best stability for field emission at about 6 V/μm. After ball milling, it can see the better dispensability and lower turn-on field.
