手持裝置智慧型鳥類資訊檢索系統之設計

摘要


隨著資訊科技的發展,整合無線網路的手持式裝置越來越受歡迎。例如PDA 手機、智慧型手機等,由於擁有功能強大與輕薄短小的特性,使用者可以輕易的利用它來處理個人事務,甚至可以執行一些應用程式。在傳統戶外賞鳥活動中,學習者只能單方面跟隨解說員聆聽講解,無法依自己個人的興趣自由活動,一旦學習者自由活動時,又因身旁缺乏解說員的幫助而無法獲得額外的知識。因此,傳統方式較缺乏學習者與賞鳥地之間的互動性。 我們提出一個智慧型鳥類檢索系統,結合了無線網路技術並建構於平板電腦與PDA手機上,以提供使用者人性化的檢索介面與良好的學習環境,使用者只需透過點選圖示或輸入關鍵字的方式即可完成檢索,並藉由無線技術,平板電腦與PDA手機使用者之間可以討論、分享彼此擁有的資訊、知識。系統中將提供完整鳥類的詳細資料,包括文字介紹、圖片鑑賞、鳴叫聲的聆聽、影片的觀賞及製作生態筆記的功能等。在系統技術層面上,不同於傳統教學與導覽系統,加入了資料探勘、模糊關聯法則等技術以提供推薦功能,並結合串流伺服器實現影音串流功能。最後,本系統亦可推廣至各自然公園與教育館等單位使用。

With the development of information technology, the handheld devices such as PDA phones and smart phones that integrate the wireless communication becomes more and more popular. Due to the computing power and compactness in size for carry, handheld devices turn into convenient tools to process personal related work and to execute some programs. In traditional outdoor bird-watching activities, because users must follow the narrator for exposition, they could not explore the contents based on their own interests. Once they start to explore what they are interested in, they would not gain the extended information from narrators due to the absence of narrators. Thus, the traditional bird-watching activity lacks the interaction between learners and bird-watching places. So we propose an intelligent bird information retrieval system. The system consists of a Tablet PC and PDA with wireless networking capabilities which offers users the friendly retrieval interface and a good learning environment. In our system, users only need to click the buttons or input the keywords to retrieve bird information. Besides, users can discuss or share their information and knowledge via the wireless network. Bird information includes “Introduction,” “Images,” “Sound,” “Streaming Media,” and “Ecological Memo” which help users understand more bird information. Our system focuses on the mobile digital learning and aims to improve the effects by the users’ interaction. Data mining and fuzzy association rules are also applied to recommend users that they may be interested in. A streaming server on the Tablet PC is built to provide the streaming media for PDA users. By this way, PDA users can enjoy the multimedia from Tablet PC in real time without downloading completely. Finally, the system is particularly suitable to outdoor teaching for students and can be easily extended to national parks or museums.
