資料庫伺服器配置對負載平衡架構效能影響分析

摘要


負載平衡架構可以解決網頁伺服器負載過重的問題。現今網頁的內容大部分都是動態產生,其內容是由資料庫中讀取而來的,因此,負載平衡架構中資料庫伺服器的配置方式,對整體的效能會有極大的影響。本文將分析集中式資料庫架構和非集中式資料庫架構對負載平衡架構效能的影響,藉由實驗來找出資料庫最適合的配置方式。從實驗的結果可以得知連線數較大的情況下,在後端伺服器數量較少採用集中式資料庫的架構,平均回應時間較短,在後端伺服器數量較多時採用非集中式資料庫架構,可得到較佳的回應時間。

The load balancing architecture can be used to solve the overloading problem on the web server. Recently, most of the contents of web pages are retrieved from database. Thus, the arrangement of the database server in load balancing architecture is one of the most important factors that impact on the overall performance. In this thesis, we analyze the performance of the load balancing architecture with centralized database architecture and de-centralized database architecture. With a series of experiment, we try to find the most appropriate arrangement of the database server. The experimental results show that when the number of the backend servers is small, using the centralized database architecture results in lower average respond time. But when the number of backend servers is large, using the de-centralized database architecture can achieve higher performance.
