消費者希望挑選的顯示器可呈現真實的色彩,為了判斷顯示器的品質,本論文使用網路攝影機評估顯示器色彩品質。顯示器在出廠前會先修正一些顯示器的參數,如對比、亮度、色溫;但是色彩飽和度、色彩追蹤、亮點暗點、溢色、可視角,這些參數就比較被忽略,本論文針對這些部分,以不同影像樣版搭配影像處理技術自動測量以評判優劣,有別於市面上販售的色度計或是專業測量顯示器的高昂價位儀器。經由進行十台顯示器試驗之後,每項參數各自計算出一個分數,將所有分數加總後評判出十台顯示器的優劣,再與人工實驗比較後,平均誤差率在4.2%以下,驗證本論文的方法確實可以量測顯示器畫質好壞,也可由分數高低去評估不同顯示器的各項品質表現,帶給廠商以及消費者一個新的參考數據。
Consumers would like to purchase a monitor in the condition of best display quality. Therefore, this thesis develops a display quality measurement system by a PC with a webcam to capture the monitor screen and then analyze the screen image by image processing techniques. Monitors are usually optimized with some external adjustable parameters such as contrast, brightness, and color temperature after the manufacture stage. However, some intrinsic parameters such as color saturation, color tracking, spot, color crossing, and view angle are often neglected. This essay focuses on measuring performance of these intrinsic parameters by automatic image processing technologies. Our method is more effective and cheaper than color meters and some dedicated professional instruments. In the experiments, ten brand name monitors are tested to measure these parameters. Each parameter is scored by a dedicated formula to measure the quality. Final score is then calculated from the weighted sum of each individual score. These measured parameters are then compared with the human score and the averaged error is less than 4.2%. It demonstrates the feasibility of proposed automatic display quality assessment of monitors. Our method not only can help manufacturers to adjust the monitor’s performance in factory stage but also help consumers to choose monitors.
