本篇論文提出一種使用在固態硬碟的自動電源備援系統,其中結合超級電容,限流充電以及動態電源路徑分配來使固態硬碟系統獲得更佳的可靠度,以避免在異常斷電時對固態硬碟造成任何的損壞。相較於傳統硬碟,固態硬碟不但更輕消耗的功率也更少。而且固態硬碟有非常好的抗震能力與非常高的輸出入頻寬,在在都使固態硬碟成為可攜式裝置上非常好的儲存選擇。我們提供的解決方案可以有效的避免電源異常中斷所造成的衍生問題,使固態硬碟在加上這個解決方案後能變得更加可靠也更有可用性。 我應用了超級電容的技術來達到輕薄短小的需求,因此可以裝置在2.5吋以上的固態硬碟之內。超級電容可以容許大電流放電以及擁有數萬次充放電的使用壽命。在真實環境當中是一個有非常高可用性解決方案。
his thesis presents an intelligent power backup system to protect the solid state drive systems from abnormal power shut down. This thesis can provide a method which can enhance the reliability of Solid state drive to prevent users’ data from lost. SSDs consume less power than traditional HDDs and have much less weight compare to HDDs. It also has very excellent shock resistance and very high data I/O bandwidth. Everything make SSD seems a very good storage choice in the modern portable devices. By the purposed solution we can solve the power cycling issue easily and the SSDs will become an endure storage device after applied this solution. We applied a super capacitor in the purposed solution. Super Capacitor can allow high current discharge and tens of thousand times charge and discharge life time. This solution can applied in 2.5 inch or bigger size SSDs. This solution has very high usability in the real word.
