摘要


本篇論文主要透過對我國電信系統實際量測,分析說明目前使用者設備對於電信系統業者所提供的HSPA網路效能。   在經過對我國電信系統業者現行通訊網路量測後,有下列幾點發現: 1. 原本3G WCDMA網路系統的上下載速率為384 Kbps,現今3G HSPA網路效能下載速率提升至12.1 Mbps,以及上傳速率1.7 Mbps,相互比較之下,配合最新3.75G 網卡使用,其效能確實優於既往的3G WCDMA網路效能。 2. 定點模式下所測得之HSPA傳輸速率較移動模式下所測得之HSPA傳輸速率好。因為使用者在移動模式下傳輸數據資料時,會因無線環境變化較大造成資料上下載錯誤率提高。因此,我們認為HSPA技術的應用在定點模式下能更有效率的使用網路資源。 3. 由於行動用戶不斷的增加,導致整體網路效能下降;電信系統業者將持續不斷擴充基地台設備,並將商用通訊網路的品質透過硬體及參數優化,例如:天線方位角調整、電子傾角高度調整、功率控制及細胞間交遞參數等。以讓用戶維持一定的使用滿意度,進而增加用戶忠誠度。

This thesis studies the HSPA performance of the user equipment (UE) by the measurements in the field and explains how telecom operators could provide a better HSPA networks. Here are the findings: 1. In the earlier 3G WCDMA system, the maximum bit rate for both downlink and uplink is only 384 Kbps, which is far behind the 3G HSPA system could provide. From the measurements in the field, a 3GPP Release 6 UE is able to achieve 12.1Mpbs for downlink and 1.7Mpbs for uplink. 2. A stationary UE obtains higher HSPA throughput than a mobile UE dose. The error rate of a mobile UE is subject to increase and the throughput is affected by the variables of the air interface. Therefore, a stationary UE could utilize the HSPA resources more efficiently. 3. The overall performance of the network decreases when the number of subscribers increases. Telecommunications operators keep expanding their network capacities by, for example, adding more WCDMA Base Stations. However, equally important is the network optimization, such as adjusting the angle and tilting of the antennas, fine-tuning the parameters of power control, reviewing the neighboring cells for switchover. The satisfaction of subscribers is among the most concerns of the operator as it impacts the loyalty of subscribers.
