摘要


雲端運算在近來已被視為IT產業的新一代浪潮,不久的將來,雲端運算服務將於我們日常生活中扮演著重要的角色,以滿足人們的各種需求,而在這雲端的概念之下生成了許多技術,其中最重要的莫過於虛擬化(Virtualization)的技術。 在雲端運算中有一種IaaS的機制,他負責提供資源的租借服務,讓使用者可以依照需求配置所需的硬體。本文提出一種利用CPU資源使用率為依據作動態調整電壓的方法,可將閒置狀態的機器降低其電壓,並將負載過重的工作遷移到負載較低的機體,以達到節能省電的目的。實驗結果顯示,運用所提出之機制,可在使用者不察覺的情況下有效的節省能源消耗。

Cloud computing has been seen as the new generation of IT industry in recent years. In the future, cloud computing services will be an important role to meet various needs of the people in our daily lives. In this concept, a lot of technology in cloud computing were generated. In cloud computing, one of the most important technologies is virtualization. One of the Cloud computing services is Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). It offers resource on demand of guest’s requirement. Users can configure the hardware requirement in accordance with their needs of the hardware requirement. This thesis presents a method of dynamic voltage scaling for dynamic adjustment of resources by inspecting CPU utilization. The voltage of the idle computer can be reduced and heavy loaded works can be migrated to those machines with lighter loading for achieving the purpose of energy saving. The experimental results show that by applying the proposed mechanism, at the user unaware situation energy consumption can be saved significantly.
