本論文探討兩款小型天線。經由設計和測試後可完全適合無線區域網路(WLAN)和無線廣域網路(WiMAX)全頻段的應用。 首先設計出第一款天線可應用於2.5GHz、3.6GHz及5.5GHz三個頻段的需求且其頻寬百分比分別為20.3%、5.4%和15.4%。再來經由第一款天線結構的改變設計出第二款天線,發現經由支臂延伸可增加其中頻頻寬,第二款天線可應用於2.5GHz、3.5GHz及5.5GHz三個頻段的需求且其頻寬百分比各為18.9%、32.4%和15.4%。兩者天線最大的不同在於第二款天線利用槽孔結構和支臂延伸的方式來改善中頻和高頻頻段有別於第一款天線結構的二長一短之獨立同振路徑方式。
Two types of antennas are designed and tested in this thesis for applications to both WLAN and WiMAX bands. The first type antenna yields three separate bands with bandwidths of 20.3%, 5.4% and 15.4% centered at 2.5 GHz, 3.6 GHz, and 5.5 GHz respectively. The second type antenna is designed with an aim to increasing the bandwidth of the second band. The second antenna covers bands with bandwidths of 18.9%, 32.4% and 15.4% centered at 2.5 GHz, 3.5 GHz, and 5.5 GHz respectively. The main difference in antenna structure between the first type and the second type is that the first one uses only three metal strips, while one of the metal strips is replaced by a slot-loaded metal strip in the second type.
