智慧型電視以軟體、使用介面及網路功能為主導,所以用戶在使用智慧型電視時,會有很多上網搜尋、連結特定應用程式或是連到系統服務介面的機會,原本的實體遙控器已不敷使用,故出現了遙控應用程式這種新興遙控模式。台灣正邁入高齡化社會,高齡者的產生也顯示出我們必須要更加重視中年即將邁入老年階段的身心發展與變化趨勢,因此,本研究設定年齡在45歲至64 歲間之中高齡者為研究族群。以「前導問卷」調查中高齡者收看電視與操作遙控器的習慣與經驗,以及對智慧型電視各功能之使用頻率與意願,將結果作為前導實驗的依據;「前導實驗」邀請22位具半年以上網路使用經驗者,男性12位、女性10位,以受測者間以及平衡對抗法的方式分為兩組,分別以遙控器與遙控應用程式操作五項實驗任務,比較兩種遙控裝置在任務上的成功等級績效、預期評估、系統使用性尺度量表與電腦系統使用性調查問卷之差異,並透過實機測試與訪談收集中高齡者在操作上之問題點與偏好。根據前導實驗所歸納出之問題點,參考相關文獻所提出的設計原則,提出遙控應用程式之設計改善方針,設計一款給中高齡者使用的遙控應用程式,邀請30位具半年以上網路使用經驗者,男性14位、女性16位,以「模擬操作」的實驗方式比較兩款遙控應用程式之使用性差異。結果顯示,本研究設計之遙控應用程式在「任務一:將頻道50號加入我的最愛1中」之成功率與現有之程式無差異,但其在「任務二:刪除Just Find It遊戲」上則有差異且成功率達100%,顯示使用性優於現有之程式;現有之程式在SUS得到45分,本研究之程式得到75分,根據SUS分數評比標準,本研究設計之程式優於現有程式且達平均使用水準。在CSUQ四個評估向度:「系統可用性」、「資訊品質」、「介面品質」、「整體滿意度」,成對T檢定顯示使用者對於本研究之程式有較高的評價。研究結果證實本研究設計之遙控應用程式之使用性確實比現有的程式好。最後,提出適用中高齡者之應用程式與電視介面設計建議。
Smart TV is dominantly combined with software, user interface and network function, so users have many opportunities for surfing internet, linking to specific applications or connecting to system service interface. On the other hand, the original entity remote control is out of use, so there is a newly developing remote control mode, namely, the remote application.Taiwan is entering the aging society, while the production by elder generation shows that we must place more emphasis on their physical and mental development and its change trend for those middle-aged people are about to step into senior age. Therefore, this study sets the people of middle age from 45-year-old to 64-year-old as our studying group.It is concluded their habits and experience of middle-aged people watching TV and operating remote control as well as the use frequency and willingness for smart TV’s various functions in preliminary questionnaire, and the survey results will be taken as the basis for preliminary experiment; the experiment will invites 22 internet users with over 6 months experience, among those 12 males and 10 females, who will be divided into two groups by the methods of between-subject design and counter balance. Two groups will operate five experimental tasks respectively by remote control and remote application, and we will compare the two devices’ differences in level of task success, expectation measure, and The System Usability Scale (SUS) and Computer System Usability Questionnaire(CSUQ), and then collect the handling problems and preference for people of middle age through the real machine test and interviews.According to the problems concluded in the preliminary experiment and the design principle proposed by reference to relevant literature, we put forward guidelines for design improvement designed to a remote application which is adequate for people of middle age. We invite 30 people with more than 6 months experience of internet use, among those 14 males and 16 females. We carry out the experiment by the methods of within-subject design and counter balance, comparing the usability differences of the two applications. The result shows that between the existing application and the remote application designed in this study there is no difference of success rate in “Task1: add channel 55th into my favorites” but a difference in “Task2: remove ‘Just Find It’ game” with a 100% success rate, that is to say the usability of our application with 75 points in SUS is superior to the existing one with 45 points. According to the SUS scores appraisal standards, our designed application excels the existing one and reaches the average use level.There are 4 assessment dimensions in CSUQ: system usefulness, information quality, interface quality and overall satisfaction, and the pair T test shows users have a higher appraise for our studied application. The result confirms that the remote application designed in this study is really better than the existing one. Finally, we propose suggestions for the applications and TV interface design.
