In the contemporary process of globalization, architecture and interior design are also booming at a rapid pace. Due to the continuous evolution of industrial technology and production methods, contemporary people are to a certain extent separated from traditional regional spaces. Industrial standardization of commodity production has led to the design of interior environments not only tend to be the same, and with it, the characteristics of regional culture gradually declined; inhibition or integration of foreign culture as a standard for innovative development of their own culture, so either behavior makes people's way of life shows a growing trend towards the same form of orientation. Tea drinking culture has been passed down for thousands of years, and in different regional settings on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, there are spatial designs that maintain the heritage of tea drinking culture and promote the local characteristics of the nation. Under the impact of contemporary globalization, spatial design has naturally evolved in different forms and development trends under different social forms and environmental backgrounds on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It is hoped that the comparative analysis of two cases on both sides of the Taiwan Strait in this study will reflect to some extent the slight differences in contemporary culture between the two sides. As a special cultural form of Oriental culture, especially traditional Chinese culture, tea culture has been profoundly influencing the traditional Chinese way of life for thousands of years. Tea drinking spaces have been around since ancient times, from the roadside stalls of the Jin Dynasty to the contemporary specialized standardized commercial spaces, all of which are inescapable from the influence of contemporary culture. This study selects two cases with unique development trend and representative of cross-strait tea and beverage space from the perspective of contemporary culture as the research object. The similarities and differences between the two are explored to reflect, to a certain extent, the slight differences between the contemporary cultures of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
