布拉姆斯(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)的《降 E 大調第二號單簧管奏鳴曲》(Sonata in E-Flat Major, Op.120, No.2 for Clarinet and Piano)是他晚年為了單簧管演奏家理查‧謬爾費德(Richard Mühlfeld, 1856-1907)所創作的作品,同時也是他一生中所創作的最後一首室內樂作品。
Johannes Brahms (1833-1897 ) composed “Sonata in E-Flat Major, Op.120, No.2 for Clarinet and Piano” which was the last chamber music work in his life, and dedicated to the clarinetist Richard Mühlfeld (1856-1907 ). Despite of living in romantic era, Brahms was a composer with the tendency of classicalism. The research framework of this study is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the motive and the purpose of the research, as well as the procedures and methods. The second chapter focuses on Brahms’ life, musical style and the background of this composition. The third chapter analyzes the structure of the musical form, motive, tonality and rhythms. The fourth chapter discusses the interpretation of the musical performance. The final chapter is the conclusion of this research. I look forward to understanding Brahms' creative ideas widely and deeply for my musical career.
