教保員對傳染防護措施知識、遵從性與信心之相關探討

摘要


根據臺灣疾病管制局歷年監測資料中發現,幼兒為感染併發重症及死亡之高危險群體,幼兒園教育機構是家庭以外的重要成長場所,也是家庭外與其他人接觸最頻繁的場域,顯示幼兒園是一個容易造成傳染病流行的公共場所。故本研究為了瞭解教保服務人員對傳染防護措施知識、傳染防護措施遵從性與傳染防疫信心現況及相關性,進行描述性相關性研究,以自編之「傳染病防疫量表」做為測量工具,用比例分層隨機抽樣方法,針對臺中地區419位教保服務員進行問卷調查。研究結果顯示傳染防護措施知識平均17.16(SD=1.75)為中上,傳染防護措施遵從性平均28.06(SD=3.19)表現為最佳,而傳染防疫信心平均22.95(SD=3.09)表現稍顯不足。教保員之防護措施知識與傳染防護措施遵從性(r=0.15,p< .05)、傳染防護措施遵從性與傳染防疫信心(r=0.27,p< .001)皆具有相關性、傳染防護措施知識與傳染防疫信心(r=-0.06,p> .05)未具相關性。本研究亦發現教保員年齡、學歷、服務機構屬性、任教年資、曾否照護傳染病幼童及曾否參加過傳染防疫相關課程或研習對傳染防護措施知識、傳染防護措施遵從性與傳染防疫信心有差異,故建議未來相關單位機構強化及重視教保員防疫知能,進而提供幼兒及幼童更完善之學習環境及傳染防護照護,以確保國家幼童健康成長。

Based on the past years’ monitoring data from Taiwan’s Center for Disease Control (CDC), it was found that young children comprise a population with a high mortality risk due to the infection and contraction of serious diseases. Outside of the home, preschool (and kindergarten) educational institutions are important sites for the maturation of young children. They are also the area outside the home where the frequency of interpersonal contact is the highest. This indicates that preschools are a prevalent public space where epidemics can be easily created. This research aims at understanding the correlation and current state of the knowledge about, compliance with and confidence in transmission prevention measures among preschool teacher's. We carried out descriptive and correlational research, using our own “Infection Control and Prevention scale” as a measurement tool. We used the proportional stratified random sampling method to implement questionnaire research aimed at 419 preschool teachers in the Taichung area. The research results showed that knowledge of transmission prevention measures was in the upper-middle range, with an average of 17.16 (SD=1.75). Prevention compliance showed the best results, with an average of 28.06 (SD=3.19). Confidence showed inadequate results, with an average of 22.95 (SD=3.09). Preschool teacher's knowledge of and compliance to prevention measures (r=0.15,p< .05) as well as compliance to transmission prevention measures and confidence in epidemic prevention (r=0.27,p< .001) were all correlated. Knowledge of prevention measures and confidence in epidemic prevention (r=-0.06,p> .05) were not correlated. This research found that regarding preschool teacher's, the age, educational background, nature of the educational institute at which they worked, years as a teacher, whether or not they had cared for infected toddlers or attended prevention of epidemic transmission classes or seminars all made a difference in their knowledge of, compliance to, and confidence in transmission prevention measures. Therefore, we suggest that in the future such educational institutes strengthen and value epidemic prevention abilities among preschool teachers, as well as provide a more complete learning environment and transmission prevention care for infants and toddlers, thereby ensuring the healthy maturation of children in this nation.
