剪紙藝術應用於洋傘之傘面設計

摘要


吉祥圖案是中華民族歷史悠久,代代相傳的視覺圖像,這些古老的圖騰洋溢在華人的信仰、生活習俗、節慶活動之中,代表祈求吉祥、富貴、平安的象徵意義。其豐富的歷史淵源與視覺辨識性,常表現於傳統藝術或工藝,例如:繪畫、剪紙、雕塑、建築、油紙傘等等,烙印著時代共同的生活記憶。傳統剪紙與油紙傘以象徵寓意吉祥為主體,透過吉祥圖騰如花鳥、走獸、人物造型,傳承歷史悠久的中華文化底蘊。但隨著時代更迭,生活型態與審美觀的改變,傳統形式的藝術表現已漸漸不能符合時代需求而走入歷史。近年來,順應全球潮流的發展,台灣文化創意產業興起,這些即將失傳的藝術與工藝再度受到重視,如今在現代科技的帶動之下,以創新的設計風格應用在現代生活用品之中,除了提高經濟效益亦能保留原創精神與價值。 本研究以洋傘為創作媒材,綜合文獻史料的整理,探討台灣製傘業的發展概況作為研究動機與目的;以傘的起源與傘文化作為創意發想。在學理基礎表現方面,創作題材以中華民族剪紙藝術的表現形式作為意象的表達。在構圖方面則參考東西方剪紙名家之作品,歸納東西方剪紙作品在視覺方面的特色,進而擷取名家作品的特點,作為本創作研究的構圖表現。使洋傘賦予吉祥意涵並具時代新面貌,以符合人們對美好事物豐富的情感與想像,為中華民族傳統藝術或工藝發展多元的應用層次。

Auspicious patterns have a long history in China, which are visual images handed down from generation to generation. Chinese beliefs, life and customs, and festival activities are permeated with these ancient totems which represent symbolic meaning of praying for good fortune, wealth and rank, safe and sound. Its rich history origin and visual identification often express in traditional art or craft, such as: painting, paper cutting, sculpture, architecture, oilpaper umbrella, etc., mark shared living memories of our time. Traditional paper cutting and oilpaper umbrella symbolize auspiciousness as the main body, and through the auspicious totems as flowers, birds, animals, characters modeling, hand down long-standing historical heritage of Chinese culture beneath the surface. But as times change, lifestyle and aesthetic alter; traditional forms of artistic expression have been gradually unable to meet the requirements of the times and walked into history. In recent years, with the development of global trend, Taiwan's cultural and creative industries are on the rise. The art and craft on the point of being lost are made much account of once again. Now under the driving force of modern science and technology, innovative design style used in modern daily necessities, apart from improving economic benefits, can also keep the original creative spirit and value. This study treats umbrella as the medium of creation, collating comprehensive literature and historical data. The motivation and purpose are to investigate overview development of the umbrella manufacturing in Taiwan. I take the origin and culture of umbrella for creative thinking, famous paper-cutting works of masters for theoretical foundation. Through visual display, apply to modern umbrella surface design so as to give auspicious meaning and a new look of the times, in line with people’s rich emotion and imagination for the good things. Through the application of technology and aesthetic added value, develop multiple application dimensions for the Chinese traditional art or workmanship.
