Ecological engineering method integrates safety, ecology and sustainable concept in the engineering development and natural environment. This method seeks the balance between safety and ecology for the coexistence between the human beings and the natural environment. There are maturity laws, norms and criterions in the traditional constructional methods (or custom method) which have been implemented in several aspects such as construction safety, art of view, economic requirement, the public’s participation and embankment space for several years, engineers is very proficient in the application. This study focuses on the concept of ecology. We want to make the construction engineers have critical indexes about the construction’s cycle time, plan, design, process and maintenance in each stage to follow. By this way, engineers can reduce the errors like just emphasizing on the safety(social requirement) and disregarded ecology(natural requirement). This investigation is to survey civil engineers’ recognition and attitude toward ecological engineering methods and ecological preservation. The results will let us know after the ecological engineering methods have been implemented for several years, whether the engineers’ concepts about ecological engineering methods and ecological preservation increase or not. In this questionnaire survey, we try not only to understand the recognition and attitudes toward ecological engineering method but also to explore the relationship between these two factors. We find that there exists a significant positive correlation between civil engineers’ recognition and attitudes. The subjects who have better recognition in ecological preservation show that they have more aggressive attitudes. In other words, if engineers can increase the recognition in the ecological preservation, they will be more aggressive in the attitude of ecological preservation.
