媒體依賴、使用動機、可信度以及政治態度間關聯性之探討

This study employs an online survey to examine how Web user use newspaper, television news, and internet social media as political information sources. This study also explores the degree to which reliance the media, motivation on using the media, predict political attitude, and those three variables predicts media credibility. Finding suggests that reliance on newspaper strongly and positively predict political attitude. From motivation aspects, guidance motivation predicts political interest, while surveillance motivation predicts political trust. Reliance on each media predicts the credibility of the media they rely on, except for reliance on the newspaper. Entertainment motivation appears to predict newspaper credibility. Television news is predicted by guidance and entertainment motivation. On the other hand, surveillance predicts internet media credibility, together with entertainment motivation. From political attitude aspects, political trust and party/candidate support are the predictor for all media credibility involved in this study.
