通常一般非專業的網頁設計者,往往最缺乏的就是有關視覺設計方面的專業知識與經驗,因此本研究的目的是要幫助非專業網頁設計者提升其所製作網站之視覺效果。 對非專業的網頁設計者,若有一套評量方法,能夠指出其在視覺設計上的缺失,則將能提升網站之視覺品質與形象。但視覺設計的評量是非常主觀的,因此本研究不以專家學者所提之主觀設計原則作為評量指標,而是依據一些優質網站視覺特徵之客觀量化分析結果,進行網站視覺之評量。如此非專業的網站設計人員在建置網站過程中,可藉由評量結果與建議,修正網頁之視覺效果,製作出高品質視覺的網頁。 導入頁是瀏覽者在進入網站首頁之前首先看到的頁面,它給瀏覽者的第一印象通常會決定瀏覽者是否要繼續瀏覽該網站。但許多網站的首頁也都具備導入頁的基本功能,因此一個網站的首頁之前是否還需要有導入頁,也就成為一個議題。本研究不主觀評論一個網站是否需要使用導入頁,而是客觀地統計一些優質網站中導入頁的使用情形,並且對這些導入頁所呈現的視覺特徵作分析統計,然後與一般網站之導入頁作比較,得到的數據結果,可提供網站設計者在建置導入頁時作為參考。
Most non-professional website designers lack the expertise and experience of visual design. The purpose of this study is to help the non-professional designers to enhance their visual design for websites. If there is an assessment method which can clearly indicate the website’s defect in the visual design, the designer can enhance the visual quality of the site. The assessment of site visual design is very subjective, so we do not use the guidelines proposed by experts or scholars as the indicator. We use the results of quantitative analysis of high-quality sites to evaluate the visual quality of a site. A non-professional designer can increase the site’s visual beauty by following the suggestions of the assessment. A splash page is an initial website page that a visitor sees before entering the home page. A visitor’s first impression at the splash page determines whether he/she continues browsing the site. Many visitors are annoyed by splash pages; not all websites have a splash page. It is an issue that whether a website needs a splash page. This study does not propose subjective comments on this issue, but calculate statistical information about splash pages of high-quality sites and show the objective quantitative results. These results can provide a webpage designer with useful information while he/she builds a splash page.
