以心靈環保為理念的組織反思-法鼓山世界青年會為例

摘要


本研究探討法鼓山世界青年會,如何讓青年安頓身心、滿足自我需求並尋找肯定的價值,在這不確定的世代裡能成為青年倚重的力量。 在世亂紛擾中法鼓山世界青年會引領青年,藉由法鼓山的核心主軸強調「心靈環保」以「提昇人的品質;建設間淨土」的理念,學習以禪修來達成身心自在,落實心不隨境轉做自己的主人,並達到認識自我、肯定自我、成長自我、消融自我,使得禪修是實用性、生活性、可驗證性的實修方式。 青年代表著希望、傳承,在少子化、高齡化的世代中,本論文試圖探討法鼓山世界青年會如何使青年找到人生方向與生命的價值,即便這裡不是他們的皈依處,至少引導他們瞭解法鼓山世界青年會的教育及理念,透過活動與課程安排讓青年認識正信的佛教而不是似是而非的觀念。 本研究透過訪談法師、專職和法青同學,以三業(事業、道業、慧業)找到自我三生(生存、生活、生命)的價值與意義,並試圖從法鼓山世界青年會這個組織的營運,找到青年參與法鼓山世界青年會的動機、目的以及法鼓山世界青年會面臨的困境與法青如何融入在地深耕化。 在訪談研究中發現,青年對於聖嚴法師在佛法的詮釋理念和運用方法是有信心並感興趣的,且整理了法鼓山世界青年會如何接引現代青年,讓佛法可以是活潑、同理且具備可親近性。除法青德貴學苑外,如何讓青年在各地分寺院有歸屬感,如何透過三大教育,讓青年能夠安定身心和肯定自我價值與覺察自我等相關面向。

This research aims to explore how “Dharma Drum for Young People” helps young people settle down their body and mind, satisfy their personal needs and find affirmative value to become reliable power in this uncertain era. Based on “protecting the spiritual environment” to “uplift the character of humanity and build a pure land on earth”, Dharma Drum for Young People leads the youth to meditation to attain free body and mind, to become their own masters; furthermore, to know themselves, affirm themselves, cultivate themselves and obliterate themselves. In such a manner, meditation proves to be the practical, living and verifiable practice method. Youth symbolizes hope and inheritance in aging society. This thesis attempts to explore how Dharma Drum for Young People assists youth in their search for the direction and value of life. Even if Dharma Drum for Young People is not their refuge, through various activities and courses, gradually they get acquainted with DDYP’s education and philosophy to develop a proper understanding of orthodox Buddhism. By interviewing dharma masters, full-time employees and DDYP students in connection with their value and meaning of survival, living and life, I attempt to discover young people’s motivation and purpose of joining DDYP, difficulties DDYP is facing and their efforts to adapt to local culture. From the interviews, young people are confident and interested in Master Sheng-yen’s interpretation and practices in Buddhism. DDYP endeavors to introduce lively, empathetic and approachable Buddhism for modern youth. Besides Degui Campus,DDYP attempts to increase young people’s sense of belonging in every branch monasteries via three types of education to help them settle down their body and mind.
