華嚴中興教主淨源《圓覺經略儀》之研究

摘要

晉水淨源（1011-1088）一生致力於華嚴的講學、祖譜的安立、典籍的校印、教藏的建置，並從各方面傳播華嚴講學，建立了華嚴第一道場，由於這些種種的弘教事蹟，因此，被尊為宋代｢華嚴中興教主｣。
本論文藉由淨源生平及其著述思想脈絡為背景，延伸到其編撰華嚴懺法的用意，主要以《圓覺經略儀》為研究課題，探討該儀的思想與修持，依《圓覺經》建立道場、禮拜懺悔而進修禪觀，作為華嚴宗行人的實踐法門。因此，本文將以典籍依據、懺悔思想和禪觀要旨三方面貫穿主軸思想，以道場修期施設、儀軌修持規式和禮佛條式表法三方面鋪陳修持內涵，進而從相關儀軌的比較中，理解淨源制懺的時代因緣，以把握《圓覺經略儀》內涵特色與修持意義。
本論文研究也為學術界提供一部宋代華嚴儀軌的研究，最後，希望透過對於研究儀軌與實修懺儀中的反思，作為當代行人修行華嚴懺儀法門的可能。

Jinshui Jingyuan (1011-1088) dedicates all his life to teaching Huayan thoughts, confirming Huayan lineage, collating and printing scriptures and collecting Huayan related works. He not only propagates Huayan teachings through various means, but builds the First Huayan Bodhi site. Due to all this Dharma propagation activities, he is regarded as the ”Patriarch who Revived the Huayen School” of the Song dynasty.
This thesis is based on Jingyuan’s life and the context of his works. My research extends to his purpose for editing Huayan repentance rituals while focusing on the “Abridged Manual for the Yuanjue jing” and examining the thoughts and practices in this liturgy. In this ritual, Huanyan practioners are encouraged to establish Bodhi site according to “Yuanjue jing” (The “Sutra of Perfect Enlightenment”), to worship the Buddha and repent, and to practice Chan Meditation. Therefore, this thesis will address the origin of this ritual in scriptures, the thoughts of repentance and the essence of Chan Contemplation as its three main axes. It will then develop the content of actual practice through the establishment and arrangements of Bodhi site during retreat period, the code for practicing repentance rituals, and the regulations for worshiping the Buddha. Then, through comparison with related repentance rituals, it reveals the conditions as Jingyuan edits this repentance ritual so as to comprehend the features of the “Abridged Manual for the Yuanjue jing” and it’s meaning in terms of cultivation.
This thesis represents an academic research on a Huayan ritual in the Song dynasty. Lastly, through studies on ritual processes and reflections gained through actual cultivation of repentance, it is sincerely hoped that this research could provide modern practioners with a probable way to practice Huayan repentance.
