The acid-etch technique for bonding composite resin is the most common procedure in our daily dental practice. Dentin bonding is the key of successful composite rein filling. In past forty years, ongoing developments and advances have improved the reliability and predictability of dentinal adhesion. The mechanism and principle of dentin adhesion had discovered more clearly. This article has presented the development and clinical application of dentin bonding agents.
