摘要

早在1970年代即發現chlorhexidine的使用，不僅可以減少牙菌斑及牙齦炎的發生，也可以降低龋齒的發生率。但是在齲齒預防方面，目前chlorhexidine的使用不甚普遍。本報告回顧chlohexidine的抗菌機轉，以及目前臨床上可供使用的方法。另外也提出一些相關的報告來評估chlohexidine對於齲齒預防的效果，包括早期使用對於乳齒齲齒的預防效果。希望可以在臨床上更有效的利用chlorhexidine來達到預防齲齒的效果。

In 1970, it was reported that a safe antimicrobial agent, chlorhexidine, not only could effectively reduce plaque formation and experimental gingivitis, but also reduce caries activity. As for caries prevention, chlorhexidine is not widely accepted. This paper reviews the antimicrobial strategies, current clinical vehicles, and methods of application of chlorhexidine. The effectiveness of chlorhexidine in caries prevention, especially for the primary dentition, is also described. We hope to obtain the best clinical effect of chlorhexidine in caries prevention.
