摘要

乳齒及混合齒列可能因為各種不同的原因缺牙，活動義齒的設計製作須依照個人不同的條件及情況，做個別考量。兒童的活動義齒除了提供咀嚼功能並改善外觀之外，也可以維持整個口腔在一個有功能的狀態下，使下臉部肌肉骨骼及顳顎關節的生長發育部受到干擾及限制，但是活動義齒之補綴治療前要先有良好的治療計畫，並且於治療之後要定期追蹤及適當地修改活動義齒。

Missing teeth in the primary and mixed dentition may result from various causes. Removable prosthesis for primary or mixed dentition should be designed and fabricated according to its individual condition. In addition to provide the masticatory function and restore esthetics, removable prosthesis also keeps the stomatognathic system in a functional status so that the growth and development of the lower face and temporomandibular joint will not be limited. However, adequate treatment plan before treatment and periodic follow-up adjustment are needed in order to insure a favorable result.
