地利村與台中市學童異常咬合之比較與探討
Comparison of Malocclusion of Schoolchildren in the Dy-Li Village and Taichung City
摘要
研究目的：本研究之目的是了解目前偏遠地區－南投縣地利村國小學童之異常咬合狀況，因地利村國小學童齲齒狀況相當嚴重，而齲齒是否會進一步影響到咬合狀況，造成城鄉之間咬合不正之比例有明顯之差異。除此之外，更進一步調查學童父母對矯正治療之瞭解程度及接受矯正治療之意願，並與台中市區國小學童做一比較，進一步探討造成差異之原因。 方法對對象：針對地利村及台中市國小一到六年級之學童進行咬合狀況之分析，地利村之學童共有一百一十一位，台中市之學童有五百七十八位，並針對學童之家長進行問卷調查，將異常咬合及問卷調查之結果，經統計分析後作一比較，以探討造成差異之原因。 結果：研究結果顯示地利村之學童異常咬合之比例較台中市學童高，在問卷調查之結果方面，台中市之父母較了解孩童之口腔狀況，對矯正治療也比較有概念，在接受矯正治療之意願上，台中市之家長較地利村之家長來得高。 結論：地利村因缺乏醫療資源，學童齲齒狀況嚴重，並進一步影響到咬合狀況。地利村之家長因資訊較封閉，對於矯正治療較沒有概念，再加上路途及經濟等因素，接受矯正治療之意願並不高。

Purposes: The purposes of this study were to investigate the malocclusion status of schoolchildren and parents' willingness of receiving orthodontic treatment in a remote Dy-Li village, and compare the results with those in the Taichung city. Methods: The elementary students of both Dy-Li and Taichung cities were received the examination of dental occlusion. There were 111 students in Dy-Li village, and 578 students in Taichung city. The survey included prevalence of malocclusion, different types of malocclusion, and questionnaire investigation for parents' willingness of receiving orthodontic treatment. Data were collected and analyzed the differences of malocclusion in each age group, and the results of questionnaire between two areas. Results: The results showed that the prevalence of malocclusion in Dy-Li village was higher than those in Taichung city. Parents in Taichung city cared about children's oral condition and knew more about orthodontic treatment than parents in Dy-Li village, and also had the willingness of receiving orthodontic treatment than parents in Dy-Li village. Conclusions: Due to lack of medical and dental resources, schoolchildren in Dy-Li village had serious decay, which may further result in dental malocclusion. Also because of the isolated Dy-Li village, inconvenient traffic and financial problems, most of parents didn't know about orthodontic treatment so that the willingness of receiving orthodontic treatment was low.
