簡介美國科瑞格醫院脊髓損傷之復健
Introduction of Rehabilitation for Spinal Cord Injury in Craig Hospital
摘要
筆者於今年初赴美國科羅拉多州科瑞格醫院研習「脊髓受傷」之復健。其復健體系相當完整，不但有陣容堅强的復健醫療人員包括資深的復健醫師、復健護理人員、物理治療師、職能治療師、語言治療師、娛樂治療師、心理治療師以及家庭服務部共同為病患治療；同時，醫院之規劃及設備，病房之裝置都極具規模，使醫院之運作達到最高效率。筆者在物理治療師歐丹尼爾主任之安排下參加了「脊髓受傷後之殘留功能及復健成果」、「團體治療課程」、「浴池水療之認識」、「神經根切除術之觀察」、「性生活之態度及評估」、「病人座談會」等課程並實際參與治療病患之工作，獲取更真切之知識和經驗。希望對殘障者貢獻棉薄之力，更期望政府當局，社會大眾正視復健醫療之重要性，藉以達到完整之治療並提升殘障者之生活品質，造福所有的殘障者。

I participated in the spinal cord injury program in Craig hospital, Colorado, United States this year. Craig hospital is a modern designed, well organized and highly efficient hospital. During the training time, I joined many courses including ”Functional Goals at Specific Levels of Spinal Cord Injury”, ”Group Therapy”, ”Pool Therapy”, ”Rhizotomy Observation” ”Sexuality Attitude Reassessment”, Re-entry Program”. I hope that I can now better serve my patients and I also hope the government and society will pay more attention to the improtance of rehabilitation by improving the quality of disabled person's living.
