摘要
由於生物力學及運動醫學的發展，功能性足底板的使用愈來愈普遍。其原理在於利用足底楔狀物平衡足部之構造異常，以控制足部距下關節於正中位置，而改善足部功能。臨床報導的效果十分顯著，然而仍缺乏完善的實驗性研究來證實其功能。本篇簡單地討論其生物力學原理、足部員模製作以及其效果，以推廣此一治療方法。

The procedure of making a functional foot orthotic is introduced in this article. With more and more individuals participating in physical fitness programs and athletic events, foot and leg problems become more and more common in podiatric or orthopedic clinics. It is believed functional foot orthotics can alter the orientation of the foot structures, control excessive foot motions, provide direct support, and redistribute weight bearing to more tolerate parts of the foot so that many clinical overuse symptoms can be alleviated. The prescription of a functional foot orthotic requires a sound knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics and a complete biomechanical examination of the foot. Although there is no experimental research for the effect of this kind of orthotics, clinical experiences have shown that biomechanical alteration by functional foot orthotics can alleviate these mechanically induced symptoms.
