Dermoid cyst of the body has reported frequently, but dermoid cyst of the mouth floor was rare. In the 555 dermoid cysts documented in CGMH from 1988 to 1995, only 4 cases (0.7%) were located in the floor of the mouth. Two cases encountered in the oral surgery department were included in this article. This first case was a 12-year-old girl, a dermoid cyts 4.5×3.5×3.5 cm. in size was found in her right sublingual area, which was removed surgically with the intraoral approach. The second case was a 20-year-old female patient with a 5.5×5×5 cm. dermoid cyst located in the midline of the mouth floor, in between the genioglossus and geniohyoid muscles. The cyst was removed surgically was also included, in order to discuses theetiology, incidence, classification, clinical manifestation, differential diagnosis and treatment plan.
