「自然科學資料庫與計算科學實驗室之建立與應用」整合型計畫之回顧與前瞻

A Review of「The Establishment and Application of Natural Science Data Bank and High-Performance Computing Laboratory」in PCCU

摘要

國科會「提昇私立大學院校研發能量專案計畫」支持下，本私立中國文化大學理學院已順利完成獲核定之「自然科學資料庫與計算科學實驗室之建立及其應用」計畫一件，（內含總計畫及七個分項研究）。計畫分二部分執行，其一為基礎建設，其二為分項研究，其中基礎建設由總計畫負責。經由專案補助與學校鼎力配合，所預定之資料庫軟、硬體建置，各分項研究所需各種基本資料，以及各分項研究分檔均已圓滿完成，並已建立網頁供各界瀏覽（網址：140.137.32.27）。在校園內亦已完成「高頻網路系統」，使相關研究與資料庫間網連以及彼此的協同工作易於進行。另一部分為分項研究，由各相關系所負責執行。研究名稱與重要且具體之成果如下：

一、分項研究名稱與執行概況：
1. 陽明山高解析度數位地形（分項研究一）、陽明山地區地質（分項研究二）、陽明山水系特性與水質（分項研究五）、陽明山水系兩側洄游物種之時空分布（分項研究四）、大屯山火山群生物資源（分項研究三）、災變天氣（分項研究六）等，以及地理資訊與基準地圖分庫（分項研究七），為其他六者的統一支援系統。
2. 建置完成地理資訊與基準地圖分庫。
3. 編印完成「大台北衛星影像地圖集」，共分為地理、氣候、地質、生物、森林、景觀等六篇，並完成光碟版。
4. 將教育部補助之「地球科學教育諮詢中心」納入網站，以充實諮詢內容，提昇效益。
5. 透過校園網路與教學支援系統，提供相關專業課程教學。

二、重要且具體之成果：
1. 以90 學年度本院執行國科會相關學門類專題計畫（不含本提昇計畫）金額為基數，92與93年度已分別提昇至1.75與2.5倍，顯示推行提昇計畫後，教師研究與主持計畫能力正不斷提昇。
2. 參與計畫的理學院四系，92、93 年度獲教育部補助之計畫數各增加二件，計畫執行能力均獲肯定。
3. 分項研究負責人陳亮憲、薛益忠於92 年度共同主持之整合型計畫，獲國科會核準補助，顯示主持能力已大幅提昇。
4. 資料庫建置完成之第一年（92年），上網人數近二百人次，次年即提高為四百人次，顯示本資料庫已具規模。
5. 資料庫相關書面資料借用次數亦呈倍數成長，顯示內容對修習研究型課程之學生頗有實用價值。
6. 期內地學博士班及地理與大氣所碩士班共培養相關研究生共十四名，已有十一名獲得學位。
7. 計畫執行後，相關教師已發表論文共四十五篇，其中SCI 期刊共二篇。
8. 為發揚計畫成果，並於計畫結束後能延續資料庫各項功能，繼續支持研究工作，本校已成立一級學術單位「數位地球研究中心」，今後將承接總計畫所有工作，並逐步擴大研究領域，使國科會與本校投資發揮長期功能。
9. 科學計算能量部份由資訊中心負責，初期建置已完成，後續將朝網式（grid）叢集（cluster）架構發展。

由上述可見，本提昇研發能量專案，對參與之教師、本校理學院以及全校之研究工作，貢獻卓著。特撰此文以茲紀念，並為今後推動自然科學資料庫學術研究之參考

This article is based on the final report of a three-year project supported by NSC, ROC. It is the unique product of a group of researchers in the college of science of the Chinese Culture University. The main purpose in doing this work is to improve the ability of our research capability. The project contains one project office and seven sub-projects. The main goal of the project office is to build up a data bank and computing facilities for the supporting of the sub-projects. The titles of the seven sub-projects are as follows:
A study on establishment of high resolution topographic database of Yang-Ming-Shan.
The establishment of geologic data bank of Yang-Ming-Shan.
The establishment of data bank for biological resources of Tatun volcanic mountain region and the investigation of the relationship between the distribution of animal resources and vegetation type.
The study of lotic system：The space and time distribution of diadromous species in Yang-Ming-Shan.
The study of relationship between a drainage’s characters and river water-An example in Yang-Ming-Shan area.
The establishment and application of disastrous weather data bank and PC-cluster.
The application of GIS on land-use planning－with a case study of Yang-Ming-Shan area.
Each of these seven articles has a complete report in Chinese with English abstract except; number 4; it is in English. A concise summary of them is included in this article.
During the last three years the research group worked very hard. Finally, all of the goals we planed are fulfilled. What the author presented here is only an outline of the team’s hard work, and many thanks to all of those who work with me.
