摘要

高血壓是全世界循環系統疾病中排名第一的流行病，且為目前已開發國家之中引起心臟血管疾病及死亡的重要原因。四十歲以上的成年人中，有20~25%以上的人患有高血壓，七十歲以上的老年人更有高達60%以上的人患有高血壓。長期而言，高血壓將使心臟肥厚進而引起心肌病變及心臟衰竭；此外對血管而言，將引起腦中風、冠狀動脈疾病、主動脈瘤、主動脈血管剝離及腎血管疾病等嚴重併發症，造成病患永久的傷害及死亡。現代醫藥雖然可以有效地控制血壓升高，但無法理想地改善症狀、逆轉標地器官之損害。中醫藥治療本病不在單純降低血壓，而是講求全身陰陽的平衡，從根本上解除高血壓的內在原因，在臨床上確實能夠彌補西藥治療上之不足，從而提高療效，改善生活品質，在高血壓的防治上，應該佔有重要的意義。

Hypertension is the number one epidemic of the circulatory system worldwide. Moreover, it has been classified the fatal cause of the death to Cardiovascular disease in most developed nations. Among the adult aged above 40, 20%~25% or so or even higher proportion have hypertension. For those the senior aged above 70, over 60% of the population has hypertension. From a long termed viewpoint, hypertension will tend to cause the trouble such as enlarged ventricular that results in cardiomyopathy or heart failure. As for the effects to blood vessels, some diseases such as cerebral paralysis, Coronary artery disease, Venous thrombosis, Aortic dissection, and Renal vessel disease.. etc that may cause persistent harms or the death to the patients. Nowadays, in spite of the fact that the modern medical science has good control over tension variation, unfortunately, no significant improvements will be made to reverse the side effects done to the organs. The quintessence of Traditional Chinese Medicine lies in maintaining equilibrium of Yin and Yan elements of the whole body instead of bringing down tension simply. In short, in order to get rid of the threat thoroughly posed by hypertension, we ought to pay much more attention to the innate reason of the disease itself. Since experiences has taught us that the natural born self healing indeed is supplementary to the modern medical treatment. Then the curative effect will boost for live standard improvement in the days to come. This unprecedented breakthrough will make history in the prevention and treatment for Hypertension.
