In 2014, Taiwan Government announced "The guideline for 12-year compulsory education", which included environmental education as a vital educational issue and will be integrated into the curriculum for student to learn. There are five themes in New Environmental Education Curriculum Outline, included environmental ethics, sustainable development, climate change, disaster prevention and sustainable utilization of energy and resources. The main ideas of this paper is to analyze the New Curriculum Outline of environmental education, and to explore the concept of environmental knowledge that suitable for students in different learning stage by means of content analysis and focus group interview.
