Kidney transplantation is associated with improved survival and quality of life when compared to dialysis. Transplant recipients have to take long-term immunosuppressive agents. Immunosuppressive treatment regimens are various types and time of taking medicines also complex, easily leads to poor adherence, even medication errors. Adherence to immunosuppressive therapy and correct medications has significant affection in kidney transplant recipients. Non-adherence of the immunosuppressive agents may affect the graft loss, or even cause death, so how to enhance medication adherence show more importance. Building a patient-centered medication instruction on well education for patients and families can successfully reduce medication error. Moreover, to simplify the complex prescription regimen, it needs the patients and medical teamwork cooperation.
