Metformin相關乳酸中毒的診斷與治療
Diagnosis and Therapy for Metformin Associated Lactic Acidosis
摘要
Metformin是治療第二型糖尿病的用藥，然而急性過量或腎功能不良病人使用此藥可能會併發相當罕見且致命的乳酸中毒（metformin-associated lactic acidosis, MALA），死亡率接近50%。本文旨在探討MALA的成因，提早察覺MALA的危險因子，並且即時診斷及給予適當的治療以期提升病人住院存活率。

Metformin has been a drug of choice for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus; however, the drug may cause lethal metformin-associated lactic acidosis (MALA) with a mortality rate approaching 50%. In this review, we aimed at clarifying the cause and risk factors of MALA with timely diagnosis and proper therapy, which can improve the patient's survival rate.
