Adaptions and Strategies to COVID-19 Pandemic Environment for Peritoneal Dialysis Patient

At the end of 2019, the infection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has significantly increased mortality to whole world. However, patients with end-stage renal disease are particularly vulnerable when infected with COVID-19 because they have multiple comorbidities and are older. These patients are higher risk of COVID-19 infection because they often enter to medical institutions for hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis (PD). Although PD patients are always at home, they still have a relatively high risk of infection. The article will discuss the response and countermeasures of COVID-19 for peritoneal dialysis patients.
