摘要


牙菌斑的控制是牙周病治療長期成功的絕對要素。因此如何有效的去除牙齦下菌斑為許多研究的重點。已知chlorhexidine(CHX)是許多化學製劑中最有效的,因此本研究的目的即在於評估經單次的牙齦下沖洗後牙齦下菌斑內活菌率的改變,有別於其他許多以菌斑的量來分析的實驗。結果顯示CHX確有殺菌作用,平均活菌比例在沖洗後3分鐘降低約30%。

The removal of subgingival pathologenic bacteria is necessary for long term control of periodontal diseases. Many chemicals have been tested in the hope of preventing or reducing chronic inflammatory periodontal diseases. At present, the most successful antiplaque chemical is chlorhexidine gluconate (CHX). Since antiseptic mouthrinses cannot penetrate the deep pocket, there is an increasing interest in direct instillation of antimicrobials into the gingival sulcus. The aim of this study is to evaluate plaque vitality before and after a single subgingival irrigation with 0.1 % CHX or saline. After fluoresence microscopic evaluation, the result reveals decreased vitality from 68% to 38% with the CHX group. And there is no significant vitality change with the saline group. This study suggests that subgingival CHX irrigation is an effective conjunctive treatment with scaling and root planing, especially in the furcation or concavity area. And periodically subgingival CHX irrigation may be helpful in the long term maintenance care.
