This is a case of a 50 years old female with right breast cancer, exhibiting dysgeusia after combined chemotherapy and hormonal therapy post a surgical excision. This case report described the process of taste alteration, its pathophysiology and the efficacy of using Chinese medicine treatment. We consider Chinese Medicine treatment as an effective complementary and alternative treatment to improve the side effects of chemotherapy and hormonal therapy after surgery, to treat the following dysgeusia, and to elevate life quality of the patients. This case report also indicated some possible research directions on this issue in the future.
