共賞春宵-唐寅《陶穀贈詞圖》的風格與意涵

The Style and the Meaning of T'ang Yin's "T'ao ku Presents a Poem"

摘要


唐寅喜好情色的軼事,一直廣為市井所樂道。本文試圖從陶穀故事的流傳、圖像風格的變化、當時南京畫壇的網絡關係,與唐寅的詩詞相互佐證,說明其《陶穀贈詞圖》不論在形式風格,抑或是當中所隱藏的意涵,均反映出唐寅存於大眾之間的風流形象,此外,還成就了畫史上一種新的視覺氣象。這件展現於公共空間中的大幅掛軸,一改先前相關畫作的表現,呈現了共賞春宵的情景,這些獨特的品質,除了畫家性格的影響,也說明了畫作與當時青樓文化的可能互動。在唐寅自我意識的作用下,更代表了其院畫風格中,與同時代職業畫家如周臣、仇英等人的最大分野。

The anecdote that Tang Yin was fascinated by pornography is known widely. From the spread of the stories about Tao Ku, the transformation of the motives, the network of the painters and paintings in Naking, referring to the poems of Tang Yin proves that the style and the meaning his painting, T'ao Ku Presents a Poem, which not only reflects the dissolute and romantic impression in the poblic, but also accomplishes a new vision in the history of Chinese painting. Hence, we aware that his personality affects the composition of his work. Besides, the culture of the brothel of his time also takes an important part. From the intention to leave his poem on the painting, T'ang Yin's work, Tao Ku Presents a Poem, represents a distinctive difference from Chou Chen's and Chiu Ying's.
