探索數理資優學生與普通生在創造思考能力上的差異

摘要


本研究旨在探討數理資優學生創造力上的認知特質,藉由多變量變異數分析方法去檢視數理資優生與一般生在創造思考能力上的不同之處。本研究的參與者為就讀於臺灣某都會地區兩所國中的200位二年級學生,其中36位為數理資優學生,其餘為普通生。分析資料結果發現數理資優生與一般生的創造思考能力在整體上有顯著的差異,此差異主要是由語文創造選擇、計量創造選擇、圖形創造選擇與語文創造非選擇四個層面所造成,但是在圖形創造非選擇方面,兩者間則未存在顯著的差異。本文並將分析結果與相關的文獻資料進行比較與討論。

The purpose of this research study was to investigate the cognitive characteristics of creative thinking of math-and-science-gifted students. Through multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), this study intended to find out the differences between creative thinking of math-and-science-gifted and regular students. The participants of this study were 200 8th graders coming from two municipal junior high schools located in an urban area of Taiwan. Of the 200 participants, 36 were math-and-science-gifted students and the others were regular students. The results demonstrate that in general there exists a global difference between creative thinking of math-and-science-gifted and regular students. This global difference results from the significant differences in the scores on creative verbal multiple-choice, creative quantitative multiple-choice, creative figural multiple-choice, and creative verbal non-multiple-choice subtests. However, there is no statistically significant difference between the two groups' scores on the creative figural non-multiple-choice subtest. These results are compared with those in relevant literature and discussion is also provided.
