腦部電腦斷層掃描檢查之劑量與健康風險評估

Estimation of Radiation Dose and Risk for a Brain CT Scan

摘要


在現代醫學檢查的技術上,電腦斷層授描(computer tomography,簡稱CT)已經成為日益頻繁且不可或缺的工具之一。本研究的目的在評估CT掃描項目中最常見的腦部檢查之全身有效劑量及其健康風險效應。本研究利用熱發光劑量計(thermoluminescence dosimeter,簡稱TLD)測量擬人形RANDO假體中各器官的平均吸收劑量,再依據國際放射防護委員會ICRP-60號報告所建議的全身各主要器官的組織加權因子WT,換算出有效劑量,並利用美國國家輻射防護委員會(NCRP)所建議之風險係數(1.65×10^(-2)SV^(-1)),進一步評估出實行一次腦部CT掃描檢查,所造成人體的致癌健康風險。以RANDO擬人假體進行之研究結果顯示,實施一次腦部CT掃描約得到3.77mSv的有效劑量,致癌健康風險約為6.2×10^(-5),即萬分之0.62

The application of X-ray in medical examination is very frequently. Computed Tomography, CT, is the advanced technique from X-ray. CT becomes more important and frequently used in modern medical techniques. The purpose of this research is to estimate the radiation dose and risk for a frequent brain CT scan. Thermoluminescence dosimeters, TLDs, were place inside the organs of a RANDO phantom to measure the average absorbed dose for individual organs. By means of the recommendations of tissue weighting factors and radiation risk coefficient from ICRU and NCRP, effective dose and the risk of inducing caner for a brain CT scan measured using a RANDO phantom were estimated. The dose of 3.77 mSv and the risk of 6.2×10^(-5) were estimated in the results.
