以最大互訊息法進行放射治療影像的對位

Mutual Information Based Registration between Radiation Therapy Images

摘要


放射治療中患者擺位位置的誤差,是影響精確治療的關鍵因素之一,本研究採用影像導引放射治療技術(Image-Guided Radiotherapy, IGRT)所獲得的頭頸部、胸部、腹部和骨盆腔的治療定位片影像(On-Board Image, OBI),利用最大互信息法和治療計畫中的模擬定位片影像(Digital Reconstruction Radiograph, DRR)進行對位。研究測量結果證明「頭頸部」和「骨盆腔」對位的一致性較好,誤差範圍小於1毫米,「胸部」和「腹部」對位時偶有出現對位不準的結果,最大誤差範圍也小於3毫米,結果證明利用最大互信息法進行放射治療影像對位均保持一定程度的準確度與再現性。

In the process of radiotherapy, exact positioning of the patient is the key factor affecting the successful of treatment. In this study, the mutual information is the tool to registrant images between the OBI (on-board image) from IRGT (Image-Guided Radiotherapy) and DRR (Digital Reconstruction Radiograph) image gathering in the planning process. Some experimental results demonstrate the performance of the ”head/neck case” and ”pelvis case” can be aligned within 1 mm error displacement. And the ”thorax case” and ”abdomen case” can be aligned within 3 mm error displacement. This result reveals that mutual information technique can help the radiation therapist adjust and confirm the patient's positioning in a more accurate and efficient manner.
