摘要

最近海外直接投資(foreign direct investment, FDI)之研究領域中，主要探討廠商對海外市場進入模式(entry model)及區位選擇(location decision)，但後續投資與海外競爭優勢之研究較缺乏。本研究目的係討探廠商優勢能力透過持續投資行為，如何對海外子公司之競爭優勢造成影響。分析樣本為1996至2001年間赴大陸投資之上市公司，以次級資料進行實證分析。實證發現，廠商能力透過持續投資行為會對海外競爭優勢會造成影響。廠商赴陸投資時，必須先強化本國母公司之產品研發能力及處理國際營運之經驗，以此優勢透過直接投資行為才可提升子公司之競爭優勢。

In recent year, foreign direct investment (FDI) study focused on the entry model and location decision. Firms' capabilities and sustained investment influences interactive subsidiaries' foreign competition advantages. By analyzing panel data on Taiwanese firms in Mainland China from 1996 to 2001, the results show that firms' internationalization experience and R&D capability are important factors influencing China subsidiaries' competition advantages. Firms have to strengthen parent company R&D of produces and experience of international operation when invests to Mainland China.
