Outcome and Prognostic Factors in Critically Ill Cancer Patient Admitted to the ICU

摘要

Objectives: We analyzed clinical related parameters of critical ill cancer, and expected to realize the prognosis factors of critical ill cancer patients. It may offer comprehensive references to upgrade the quality of life and increase the use of limited medical resources. Patients and Measurements: Until October, 2007 to December, 2009, we collected 383 cases ICD9 critical ill cancer randomly. Analyzed each clinical and experiment data included gender, age, liver and renal function related indicators and hematology test values. Furthermore, to find out the clinical related parameters of causes to cancer patient death, we analyzed the relationship between critical ill cancer patient to survival and dead. The relative data were statistically analyzed by Chinese version statistical program, SPSS13. Results: Among the 383 critical ill cancer patients collected in the intensive care unit, the survival patients were 213 people (56%), and the dead patients were 170 people (44%).The consequence showed there were 164 people intubated in the dead group (170 people), which the percentage of blood and renal failure is 36% (61 people) and 14%(24 people), higher then the survival patients (P<0.05). Then, whether critical ill cancer patients were endotrachael tube intubated or organ failure happened may affect the ICU survival rate. We continued tracking the survival group (213 people), and 36 people dead in the hospitalization. Therefore, our survey's mortality rate is 54% (206 people). Conclusions: Study shows whether patients were endotrachael tube intubated needed, whether patients have happened blood and renal failure, whether multiple organ failure happened seems to related to patient's prognosis, or it can be the index for reference and evaluation of clinical medical staff.
