This paper aims to study the influence of microstructure on mechanical properties of an austempering ductile iron mixtures of tempered martensite and ausferrite. Than a model is proposed to predict the mechanical properties. The results show that strength and hardness were more sensitive to austempering temperature while ductility and toughness were sensitive to both of austempering temperature and austempering time. Strength and hardness were determined by martensite in upper ADI and that were determined by both of martensite and ausferrite in lower ADI. Ductility and toughness were control by martensite when the volume fraction of martensite in ADI was less than 20%, while the martensite content was large than 20% the ductility and toughness were control by ausferrite. The model that proposed in this paper had a good agreement with experimental data in predicting the mechanical properties of ADI for martensite content less than 20%.
