Bulk carriers have become an important role in sea transportation in the world. It can't be avoided that the marines have the opportunity to occur fire and will make seriously loss in properties and human life casualties. Due to the varied arrangements and unique environment encountered aboard ships, the marine fire fighting and rescue is extremely difficult and hazard. It's a hard challenge for fire department to deal with marine fire. This paper attempts to offer some effective strategy in bulk carrier fire by analyzing abroad papers and the marine fire case in Keelung Harbor and has the purpose to improve the marine fire fighting strategy in our country.
