Primary nasal tuberculosis is rare. The lesions are characterized by a marked chronicity which is evidenced by the fact that the nasal mucosa does not provide a favorable climate for Mycolbacterium tuberculosis. Only a few cases have been reported in the literature. We encountered a case of primary nasal tuberculosis in October 1990. This 52-year-old male patient presented with unilateral left-sided nasal obstruction, purulent nasal discharge nad occasional epistaxis for several years. Local findings revealed a granulomatous polypoid lesion on the posterior end of the left inferior turbinate. Histological examination of the lesion and TB cultures confirmed the diagnosis. Healing was complete after one year of treatment with anti-TB drugs.
