Airway foreign body is one of the otolaryngologic emergencies. It is often encountered in children. Aspiration in adults usually occurred in those with oral or psychiatric disorders. It is a challenge to otolaryngologists not only in its emergency condition but also in variant symptoms and signs. Some condition of uncertainty would make both doctors and patients delay is diagnosis and treatment. A 47 year-old woman suffered from foreign body (fish bone) of the left main bronchus and her chief complaint was merely fetor oris. The foreign body and lodged there for about one year without being noticed until bronchoscopy was performed. It was removed smoothly. The symptom of fetor oris resolved soon after the procedure.
