摘要
老年人的平衡失調在排除掉續發性原因之後，則屬原發性老年性平衡失調。計30名65歲以上原發性老年性平衡失調者，與25名64歲以下的健康者施以溫差測驗，並以眼振電圖儀記錄，比較溫差眼振的持續期間、頻率、振幅、及慢速相速度等四項參數在各年齡層的相關變化。結果發現隨著年齡的增加，溫差眼振的頻率亦增加，而振幅與慢速相速度則逐漸減小，至於持續期間，則各年齡層間無顯著變化。

Caloric tests with electronystagmographic recordings were conducted in 30 elderly patients with disequilibrium of aging. Another 25 healthy subjects under 64 years of age were studied as a control group. Four parameters of caloric nystagmus such as duration, frequency, amplitude and slow phase velocity were compared between the two groups. Our study reveals that with increasing age, frequency of caloric nystagmus increases while amplitude and slow phase velocity decreases. As regards to duration of caloric nystagmus, there are no marked changes with age.
