Tuberculosis of the parotid gland is rare. It may be clinically indistinguishable from parotid tumor, in particular, mixed tumor. This poses a problem with regard to management, because the treatment of tuberculosis is medicasl, whilst that of the majority of tumors is surgical. We encountered a 39-year-old household who had presented with a year history of two painless masses over her right parotid area. Resection of the lesion by the superficial parotidectomy was performed, and the histopathological examination revealed tuberculosis.
