A 34-year-old male patient received exploration of the middle ear under the suspicion of sequale of chronic ottitis media with ossiculr fixation. Aberrant course of facial nerve in the oval window was found. It was coursing through the stapedial arch, and stapedial fixation was also found. The postoperative recovery was uneventful and facial nerve function was unimpaired. The patient’s hearing in the right ear improved about 25dB.
