性別與書寫之錯置與超越-以《女才子書》與《再生緣》作者自序為中心之分析

摘要


傳統書寫現象中,男性作家對於女性之論述依據與相關內容,乃至詮釋評斷,多未能基於性別對等或平衡之基礎,而女性作家雖具有書寫之相對優勢,具有文字運用能力與條件,但亦多難超越既有之社會形塑與意識,二者均凸顯對於性別與書寫之關注。本文擬以清代前期煙水散人《女才子書》與陳端生《再生緣》之相關序文為檢視依據,就不同性別作家之書寫內容與特質,分析當時文人對所謂才女或女性之認知評述,以及女性作家對於自我期許與書寫態度,論述主要有三層次:一、書寫活動之抒懷慰藉、二、情志價值之認知異同與三、性別角色之對照期待,以期對於性別差異、自我期待、媒介運用與自我實現乃至性別於書寫過程中之錯置比照,其間之差異與意識,做一理解評析。

In traditional writings, male writers usually cannot treat the discursive basis of writing women and relevant materials with basic gender equality. In contrast, Female writers did have the advantages and capability to use the same lexicons, but they rarely transcended the given social fashions and consciousness. Both male and female writers call attention to gender and writing. This paper proposes to investigate the autobiographical prefaces of The Book of the Talented Women and Love in the Next Life, by two respective early Qing poets, Yien-suei San-ren (煙水散人) and Chen Duan-sheng (陳端生). From the point of view of different sexes' writings and their contents and characteristics, I want to analyze views of the contemporary literati towards the so-called talented women, the expectations of female writers towards themselves, and their attitudes towards writing in general. My arguments are of three levels: (1) expressive activities in writing, (2) differences in knowing the value of one's emotion and desire, and (3) the contrast of and the expectations for gender role. I hope to further analyze the difference and consciousness of these terms: gender and difference, self-expectation, use of media, search for identity, and the displacement and contrast in gender role.
