走出學術的高塔－孔子學說傳承的困境與遠景

摘要

本文指出過去孔子思想傳播的三個主要方式為：政治力的提倡、學校教育與科舉制度。但是今日這些傳播途徑已不復見孔子的身影。現今孔子思想已走入學院的門牆中，成為一種專業化的研究。專業研究讓孔子思想更加深邃，但是，對孔子思想的生命力卻是一種斲傷。要顯揚孔子學說的主要途徑在於走出學術的高塔，發掘並普及孔子思想中的具永恆與普世價值人本精神，使之成為現代文明重要的心靈支柱，才能為孔子思想的傳播注入新的活力。

This essay points out that in the past the three major means by which Confucianism was made to spread are: political intervention, school education, and government examination for bureaucrats. Today these spreading routs are no longer extant. Confucian thoughts have entered within the high walls of academia and stayed as expert's research. To advocate Confucianism, I think we must walk out of the walls of academia, and dig out and popularize the eternal and universal human spirit in Confucian thoughts. We must yet again make it the pillar of the heart for modern civilization. This is the surest way to give new life to the spread of Confucian thought.
