文學中的戰爭和偉人－論《八二三注》的寫作意義

《八二三注》雖以八二三砲戰為題材，但並不以還原歷史為目的，反而在於提醒我們深思傳統歷史記錄所不及的問題。不同於一般「反共八股」，它有將戰爭小說由「國族題材」處理成「道德題材」的企圖。可見的是，它超脫愛國、國家利益等價值認知，具備了一種改良性、實驗性：它不太正面去談反共，而是花了不少篇幅去談戰爭底下的小人物，賦予人物心靈深度，儼然構成探索人類極端道德處境的觸角，同時也因其對戰爭產生的質疑，揭發了「國」與「軍」關係的殘酷真實，從而使全書超越狹隘的「反共」意識樊籬，成為更具深度的人性小說，並成就了作者對戰爭的成功注視。

August 23rd Note was under the subject of August 23rd Bombarding War, it was not for the purpose of historical recovery but reminded us to pondering the uncovered problems of traditional historical records. August 23rd Note differentiated from the regular Anti-Communist Samples, it attempted to proceed war novels from National Subject to become Moral Subject. Therefore, it exceeds valuable recognition of patriotism and national benefit, which is possessed of improvement and experiment. It did not directly mention anti-communism but took lots of contents specifying anonymous heroes, endowed characters’ spiritual profundity, sternly constructed the antenna of exploring extreme moral circumstances, and revealed cruel realities between the relationship of nation and the military due to the question of war. That made the whole book excel the narrow boundary of anti-communism, became possessing profundity of human novel, and achieved the author’s focus on the victory of war.
